Specializing in Tax Provisions for Over a Decade

TaxStream Enterprise 5.0 is a highly configurable and customizable tax software solution that automates the tax provision and re-uses data to compute extensions, estimates and returns. Enterprise is used by companies large and small with complex reporting requirements and many different types of users around the world. It provides a complete data warehouse for all critical documents needed to support the provision, compliance and planning needs of the company.

History of TaxStream

TaxStream started doing business in 1994, providing consulting services to corporate tax departments in the area of process and workflow re-design. TaxStream soon expanded the consulting business to include customized tax applications. This led to the first tax provision module, which ultimately grew to include estimated payments, tax return support, a web-based data gathering tool and various planning modules.

The TaxStream product line began to attract a number of large multi-national corporations, who needed an application dedicated exclusively to FAS 109. TaxStream me that need and the company began to grow rapidly. TaxStream’s tax provision solutions are now used for IAS 12 of IFRS, CICA Section 3465 for Canadian GAAP, and and tax reporting for other statutory environments.

In 2001, discussions began with a number of national accounting firms who needed a tax provision application for their own internal use. TaxStream ultimately developed this product, which was licensed by PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, and KPMG, as well as a several regional accounting firms.

In September 2006, TaxStream became a partner with Hyperion, providing the tax provision solution to Oracle's financial consolidation package.

As of July 2007, TaxStream was installed or under contract at 25 percent of the Fortune 500 and all of the Big Four.

In January 2008, TaxStream joined the Thomson Tax and Accounting group of tax products and services.

TaxStream continues to operate with a philosophy of integration, allowing data to flow to and from general ledgers, financial reporting tools, and tax compliance software.
